Overview 

Welcome to your SJCC online course, EDTECH01-- Introduction to Online Teaching / Learning. This course introduces learners to the increasing societal demand to deliver education in new and innovative ways. The course will enable learners to create instructional design applications for distance education. The course introduces online education through discussion, readings, projects and research.

    LEARNING OBJECTIVES  

    To explore some of the political, philosophical, and economic issues in teacher education
    To understand and provide learners with basic of web-based learning
    To examine theories and practices of distance education through an online environment
    To develop and help learners develop familiarity with different types of instructional tools available through online coursework  
    To help students understand how to write and publish to the web at least one complete module of instruction that includes an assessment of the target audience and prerequisite skills, module content, a formative evaluation of student assignments, assessment criteria, and instructor's notes.
