Topic 1: Course Introduction
Assignment One

Step 1.

Review the Instructor's Notes: Course Introduction and Syllabus and Preparation for an Online Course

Step 2.

Go to the Curriculum Wizard and enter your name, email, the working title, and description of the course you are going to develop.

Step 3.

Write a 1-3 paragraph introduction about yourself and post in the WebCT Discussion Forum. What do you hope to get from this course, do you currently teach or plan to teach online? It helps to write your paragraphs offline then copy/paste to the body of your message. Please read the introductions of your classmates and introduce yourself personally to at least one of your classmates. Go to Discussion Forum and click on the Topic heading, "Welcome to Introduction to Online Education". To post your introduction, click on "Reply". This will put your introduction in the "thread" right under the heading. When you reply to an individual, click on their name, then click on "Reply".

Once completed, you may continue to Topic 2. Dates are provided at the beginning of each of the topics to help you organize your class time effectively.\
