The CINAHL Database. Glendale: Cinahl Information Systems, 1982-.
An electronic database of publications related to nursing research and practice. The database provides references to articles, books and book chapters, pamphlets and other documents, as well as standards of professional practice and research. This work provides bibliographic citations, descriptive abstracts, and the full texts of materials; it is updated monthly. The print version, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature, covers 1977 to the present.

A free Web site hosted by the National Library of Medicine. The site offers access to MEDLINE, the most complete index to medical research with over 11 million abstracts of medical publications.

HealthWeb.
A vast collection of sites selected by librarians at 20 health sciences libraries. The site provides links on specialty areas such as pediatrics, nursing, and sports medicine as well as on topics such as bioethics, rural health, and alternative medicine. HealthWeb is a collaborative project of a number of health sciences libraries and is supported by the National Library of Medicine. It is hosted by the University of Illinois, Chicago.
