Applied Science and Technology Abstracts. New York: Wilson, 1983– (abstracts begin 1993).
Covers more than 400 core scientific and technical journals and important trade and industrial publications in engineering, mathematics, computer technology, the environment, and natural science. This database—available in print and electronic formats and updated monthly—provides bibliographic citations and descriptive abstracts (no full-text articles).

Some libraries may subscribe to the Applied Science and Technology Index, which is available in electronic or print format. Note that the Applied Science and Technology Index provides bibliographic citations only.

EI Engineering Village 2: Compendex. Hoboken: Engineering Information, 1970-.
The most comprehensive electronic index covering all engineering disciplines with over five million bibliographic citations and descriptive abstracts (no full texts) of journal articles, technical reports, and conference papers and proceedings. Compendex is searchable by author, author affiliation, journal or conference title, keyword, and subject heading; searches can be limited by publication year, engineering discipline, and publication type. Compendex is also available in print form as Engineering Index; the CD-ROM version is titled Compendex Plus.

In addition to providing access to Compendex, EI Engineering Village 2 allows subscribers to search more than 10,000 evaluated Web site abstracts, patents, industry specifications and standards, as well as the popular CRC Handbooks.

Ingenta.
A large database of research articles covering many subject areas within the disciplines of engineering and technology. Subscribers to the print journal can access full-text articles.
